Brooksville Free Public Library is very proud of its collection of genealogical material which is housed in a special collection in the Conference Room of the library. The collection includes biographical information, photographs, family histories, town reports, town chronicles, and ephemera, much of which was collected and compiled over the years by Brooksville resident Walter Snow.

Genealogists, both professional and amateur, from all over Maine, visit this collection frequently to do research. If your family comes from the downeast coast, chances are you'll find useful information in this collection. Please call ahead - 207-326-4560 - if you would like a volunteer to help you with your geneological research, or contact us via our online request form.

The Brooksville Free Public Library is open every Monday and Wednesday from 9 - 5; Thursday evening, 6 - 8; and Saturdays, 9 - 12, all year-round.
